I Refuse To Grow Up

So here I am entering my 17th year of life (almost) and I realise that maybe I'm not as mature as I consider myself to be.

1. Watching Disney movies
2. Watching cartoons
3. Playing girly games online
4. Visiting the Disney store every time I go to Oxford Street
5. Rolling around on the floor
6. Making awkward noises eg. honking for no particular reason
7. Demanding attention from my parents 24/7

Trust me the list can go on. And on. And on.

But what does it matter anyway? Surely we can continue life as naive and innocent as a six year old? No, because we are told this is wrong and that you have to grow up and move on and that these things are childish and you can't hold onto the past. No. It's not allowed. You have to read newspapers and know current affairs and watch documentaries and study all the time and go out and have sex and go to wild parties where everyones high and get drunk you know what FUCK THAT. Imma roll around on the floor if I want. Sure I'll study and go to school but I'm not giving up having a childhood. In my opinion kids grow up too fast nowadays. I may sound like a whingy old twat but it's true! Going out getting drunk having sex dressing like a slag all that the age of 14 is not appropriate. It could be argued however that this is immature behaviour and that they haven't grown up at all they're just trying to act like their older counterparts. Whatever it is something is seeerrriiooouussslllyyyy fucked.
Why does it always seem that people take one of two routes. The Party Animal or Uber Conservative. The Party Animal will do everything in their power to be "that cool person" whereas the Uber Conservative will being debating ferociously on Tory policies and their inadequacies. Again. All at the tender age of 14.
Maybe it's just me but I don't want to grow up or be slotted into either of these two categories. Why not have a bit of both.
To be honest this rant is spurred off from the fact my parents tried to make me give away my old videos. I refused obviously. What's wrong with holding onto the past if it's something that makes you who you are in the present. Even if it is a Scooby Doo video.
